LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL
This brief and simplified discernment is to further elaborate on the following presentation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVWOxiNLuJ8:
Mindful (and heartful. The heartful was more of less left out despite one of the most revered sutra practice or Heart Sutra) ways of life implies path which implies process which implies sum of practices which implies wholeness. And therefore, was created and developed or designed as a non reductionist, fragmentist, mechanist, and physicalist or as wholeness ways of life. And therefore, the practices need to be well understood before they are altered or fragmented. For example, mindful as an activity or as an act is different than mindful in a process of whole which implies mindful care. And similarly for heartful and heartful care. Furthermore, the public need to know the ramification when the practices are altered or fragmented. And provide with choices among alternatives practices, in particularly due to many aspects of modern living. And explain the gains and benefits as well as advantages and disadvantages .(the more educated, inspired, aspired, and aware practitioners are, the better advancement and meaningful transformation for the individual, collective, and practices). For examples: 1.0 Meditation and contemplation are based on the many sentient composite body-mind system which included the subtle body-mind (as simplified and discerned here https://www.epistemologyontologyfoundationinstitute.org/local-and-non-local-blog/june-07th-2019 and https://www.epistemologyontologyfoundationinstitute.org/philosophy-and-science/on-philosophy-and-science-of-self-and-no-self). And therefore, improper meditation can lead false contemplation which would not only be counterproductive but also harmful as also mentioned in the presentation (beside the already may potential harms to the individual and the collective due to false perception of the self and the world). And continuing of false living experience of the world. 2.0 It is about essential and meaningful social engagement and the common and greater good efforts rather than lack of or the opposite. 3.0 It is about meaningful transformation through individual and collective efforts through individual and collective process of being and becoming. 4.0 It is about Sangha and Dharma or about meaningfully building and transforming communities and societies as mentioned in 2.0 and 3.0. 5.0 It is about interdependent and interconnectedness practices as sum of parts of the greater whole. 6.0 It is about building characters and meaningful transformation of the essence and nature of being. 7.0 It is about nurturing, developing, transforming, and purifying form-formless or the real self. And its essence and nature of being. 8.0 It is about the essence, nature, and ground of being or process of being and becoming in a moral universe or within the essence, nature, and ground of nature. And the Tenet and 8 Noble Path were suggested not only for good reasons but are essential since they are the basic foundation of mindful care and heartful care ways of life or embedded factors in all mindful care and heartful care ways of life. For example, regardless of how knowledgeable and talent an individual is, meaningful transcendence experience may not be possible without meaningful Tenet and Noble Path. However, individuals with good characters or virtues can experience spontaneous transformative experience regardless of their talent and or skills. 9.0 It is about empowerment and liberation of individual, collective, and sentient. and among many others. In simple words, mindful care (and heartful care) ways of life are actually very sophisticated and complex. And therefore, can be extremely difficult to fully discern without proper and adequate perception and experience of nature, life, and existence. And which is why the experience, knowledge, and science (i.e. meaningful epistemology and ontology) are essential. And complementary. In other words, very few practices since they are not easy, in particularly in modern days. And those they practice accordingly, reside in monasteries or equivalent suitable environment and habitat. And therefore, the challenges are not to make the practices relevant and applicable for modern living but also potentially useful and practicable for all. And long lasting benefits to all. This brief and simplified discernment is on the philosophy and science of mindful ways of life as well as meaningful and constructive social aspects or the commons and greater good. Rob and Ron (and those of more or less equivalent or similar analyses and suggestions) are not only reasonably correct in bring forth the many issues and pitfalls. And potential issues and pitfalls. But also bringing them out in the open for meaningful potential collaboration and transformation on mindful care and heartful care ways of life forward. And if they are not perceived or appreciated as meaningful or constructive suggestions or reasons, support, contribution, empowerment, and or common and greater good; they should at least be receptive as useful and constructive criticism. And seriously considered or contemplated on. Furthermore, mindful care (and heartful care) ways of life, even through very advanced and sophisticated, were developed (not only through the scientific method and reason but also experience) approximately 2600 years ago. And for the conditions, circumstances, and states of being of that era. And therefore, need to be adapted for modern era (as also suggested in the presentation). In other words, the philosophy is timeless since it is based on the essence, nature, and ground of being. And nature. However, the sciences and applications need to be developed and transitioned or evolved accordingly. And which is why meaningful and essential complementary epistemology and ontology through the scientific method would strengthen the efforts. And among many other reasons https://www.epistemologyontologyfoundationinstitute.org/nature-decode/on-truth and https://www.epistemologyontologyfoundationinstitute.org/nature-of-reality-and-truth/on-nature-of-reality-and-truth1255991. And as such, inspired and aspired local and local collaborations and efforts can help developed meaningful mindful care and heartful care ways of life relevant and applicable for modern era as well as potentially useful and practicable to all. And long lasting benefits to all. And thus, prevent and eliminate malpractices, harm, destruction, existential risks, injustice, and suffering. And beyond. |
